Rains bring relief in Haryana and Punjab

The maximum temperatures in Haryana and Punjab Wednesday continued to hover well below the normal limits after moderate to heavy rain lashed the two states in the past few days.

Chandigarh recorded maximum temperature of 31.4 degree Celsius, two notches below normal limits, a Meteorological Department report said here.

Ambala in Haryana recorded a high of 31.6 degree Celsius, down three notches against the normal.

Karnal registered a high of 28.4 degree Celsius, down five degrees.

Bhiwani, which received heavy rain on Wednesday, recorded a high of 32.4 degree Celsius.

Hisar's maximum settled at 32 degree Celsius, five notches below normal.

In Punjab, Amritsar recorded a high of 31.8 degrees, three notches below normal.

 

Ludhiana and Patiala recorded respective below normal maximums of 31.3 degrees and 31 degrees.
