Rains bring relief to capital after a hot, sultry week

After a hot and sultry week, rains today brought the much needed relief to the national capital.

It was a pleasant day in the city as the day temperature fell two degrees below normal to 31.8 degrees Celsius.

The minimum was also recorded two degrees below normal at 24.3 degrees Celsius, Met Department said.

Till 8.30 AM, Delhi witnessed 18.8 mm of showers.

Delhi had been witnessing hot and humid conditions since Monday with rains eluding the city.

The humidity level oscillated between 68 per cent and 95 per cent during the day.

The Met department has predicted a generally cloudy sky for tomorrow with possibility of very light rains or thundershowers in some areas.
 

The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to remain around 33 and 25 degrees Celsius.
