Rains bring some relief from high humidity

After a hot and humid day, Delhiites got some relief as medium to light showers lashed the city today.

The city today received 13.4 mm of rains in the afternoon, giving some relief from high humidity, Met Department said.

The mercury touched a maximum of 36 degree Celsius, a notch higher than the normal, while the minimum was recorded at 26.1 deg C, normal for this time of the year, MeT officials said.

The humidity oscillated between 61 and 92 per cent.

Some of the areas like Lodhi Road received 37.8 mm of rains, Safdarjung 13.7 mm, Palam 8.1 and Ayanagar 0.2 mm.
 

The weather department has predicted a partly cloudy sky tomorrow with possibility of light rains and thundershowers in some areas.

The maximum and minimum temperature are expected to remain at 36 deg C and 26 deg C, respectively.
