Rains bring some respite from humid weather in Delhi

Experiencing hot and humid weather for the past one week, the national capital today got some respite after rains lashed several parts of the city.

It was a warm and muggy morning, as the minimum temperature was above the normal at 27.7 degrees Celsius. But as the day progressed, medium to heavy downpour drenched several parts of the city bringing the mercury down and respite from hot and humid conditions.

The city yesterday recorded the day temperature at 35.8 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal, while humidity in air fluctuated between 59 and 88 per cent.
