Rains continue to lash many places in Haryana and Punjab

Chandigarh was lashed by 23 mm of rains, the local MeT Department said.

In Haryana, Ambala (7.1 mm), Narnaul (27 mm), Rohtak (3.9 mm), Panchkula (20 mm), Kalka (15 mm), Karnal (3.8 mm) and Bhiwani (1 mm) were among other places which received rains.

Amritsar (2.2 mm), Ludhiana (1.1 mm), Patiala (3 mm), Mohali, Madhopur and Phagwara in Punjab were also lashed by rains.

The maximum temperatures have been hovering between 27-33 degrees Celsius at most places during the past few days as rains have lashed the two states and Chandigarh for most part of the week, with the MeT Department predicting more rains over the next few days.
