Rains cool national capital

Rains lashed the national capital this morning, bringing the mercury down.

The city received 26.2 mm rainfall till 8:30 AM and there are chances of more showers during the day as the MeT department has predicted partly cloudy sky.

The rains caused mercury to plummet five notches below normal at 23.5 degree Celsius while humidity level at 8:30 AM was recorded at 96 per cent.

The day temperature is expected to settle at 38 degree Celsius but there will be high humidity throughout the day.

Yesterday, the maximum was recorded at 38.1 degrees Celsius and the minimum settled at 25.3 degrees Celsius.
