A woman was today killed and two others were injured in lightning in Sahibganj district even as Palamau and Jamshedpur remained the hottest places in Jharkhand with 40.8 degree C and 40.1 degree C respectively.
The three women were standing under a tree at Maharajpur to protect themselves from rain when lightning struck them, killing one on the spot and injuring the other two, a police official said.
Hailstorm hit Lohardaga, destroying vegetables and other agriculture produces across large stretches of land, officials said.
