The capital Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 34.4 degrees celsius and a minimum of 25.6 degrees celsius.

Humidity level in the city oscillated between 92 per cent to 62 per cent.

In Rajasthan, normal life was thrown out of gear in the state capital as heavy rains resulted in water-logging in many areas.

The city received 39.4 mm rains from 0830 hours to 1130 hours.

Many localities in areas like Tonk road, Ajmer road and Sikar road suffered water-logging and commuters faced difficulties.

Rain water entered into houses in various colonies. Vehicular movement was hit and trains were also running late.

However, there was no need to shift people from low-lying areas, according to an official.

There is water-logging at many places but there was no panic in low-lying areas today and no untoward incident took place, Additional District Collector-Jaipur, Jaswant Singh said.

Thousands of people had to be shifted from low-lying areas of the city to relief camps last month due to heavy rains.
