Rains hit several parts of the national capital which kept the temperature within comfortable levels even as waterlogging led to traffic snarls at some places.
Safdarjung observatory, figure of which is considered the official reading for the city, recorded 4.4 mm rainfall between 8.30 AM and 5.30 PM while weather stations at Lodhi Road, Palam and Ridge received 1.4 mm, 2.6 mm and 20 mm rainfall respectively, a Met department official said.
No rainfall was recorded at Ayanagar observatory.
The maximum temperature was recorded at 35 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's average while the minimum temperature settled at 29.8 degrees Celsius, two notches above the normal, the official said.
The humidity level oscillated between 92 and 63 per cent.
The MeT department has predicted overcast conditions along with the possibility of rain for tomorrrow.
"The skies will be partly cloudy. Rain and thundershower is likely to occur towards afternoon and evening.
"The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to settle around 35 and 29 degrees Celsius respectively," the weatherman said.
Yesterday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 36.9 degrees Celsius while the minimum settled at 28.9 degrees Celsius.
