Rains lash several parts of Delhi

Rains lashed several parts of the city making the weather pleasant and keeping the mercury below the 33 degree mark even as it led to increase in humidity.

The Safdarjung observatory, figure of which is considered official for the city, received 67.6 mm rainfall till 8.30 AM and 4.6 mm rains between 8.30 AM and 5.30 PM, said a MeT department official.

The maximum temperature was recorded at 32.6 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's average while the minimum temperature settled at 25.5 degrees Celsius, a notch below the normal,

The humidity level oscillated between 100 and 70 per cent.
 

The MeT office has forecast light rain and drizzle in some places for tomorrow.

"The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover at 33 and 26 degrees respectively," the weatherman said.

Yesterday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 32.2 degrees Celsius, while the minimum had settled at 26.6 degrees Celsius.
