Rains today lashed several parts of Punjab and Haryana, providing relief to people from humid weather conditions.
Union Territory Chandigarh, joint capital of both the states, recorded a maximum temperature of 30.3 degrees Celsius, three notches below normal, MeT Department report said here.
In Haryana, Ambala's maximum was 28.7 degrees Celsius, five degrees below normal and it received a rainfall of 20 mm.

Hisar recorded a high of 37 degrees Celsius and witnessed 26 mm of rainfall.
Karnal and Narnaul recorded maximum temperature of 29.4 and 37.2 degrees Celsius respectively. Karnal received 12 mm of rainfall.
In Punjab, Amritsar recorded a high of 35.1 degrees Celsius while Ludhiana and Patiala recorded maximum of 32.5 and 29.7 degrees Celsius respectively, up to four notches below normal.
The MeT has predicted light rains at isolated places in Punjab and Haryana during next 24 hours.
