Rains, overcast sky adds to chill

Intermittent showers lashed the national capital today and sky remained overcast for the second day running, as the minimum temperature settled at 12 degrees Celsius.

The national capital recorded minimal rainfall at 1 mm between 8.30 AM and 5.30 PM today.

The maximum temperature was recorded at 17.8 degree Celsius, three notches below the normal level, while the minimum temperature was 12 deg C, four notches above the normal.

Humidity levels oscillated between 100 to 93 per cent.

The weatherman predicted a partly cloudy sky with few spells of rains leading to shallow fog in the national capital for tomorrow.
 

According to the MeT department, maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to remain at 19 and 12 degree Celsius.
