Rains return but not much relief for Delhiites

The city witnessed rains a little after 6 PM slowing down traffic on major traffic intersections like ITO. It also caused inconvenience to people returning home from office.

The maximum and minimum temperatures remained much above the normal levels adding to the woes of the denizens. While the maximum was recorded at 37.8 degree Celsius, which is four degrees above normal, the minimum settled at 27.5, one degree above normal.

1 mm of rainfall has been recorded in the past 24 hrs ending 8.30 AM, the MeT office said.

High humidity, recorded between 79 and 42 per cent, also made life tough for Delhiites today.

 

The MeT office has forecast light rains tomorrow as well.

Monsoon hit the capital July 6, after missing the normal onset date of June 29. Last year, monsoon reached the city on June 26.
