Rains trigger landslides in Tawang district

Heavy rains for past three days triggered landslides in different parts of Tawang district of Arunachal district causing stress on normal life.

Official sources said a community based incense stick making unit was razed down at Zemithang valley of the district but there was no loss of lives.

However, the calamities impacted cash crops including apple farming and tomato.

The landslides also disrupted road communication and inconvenienced local people and tourists.
