Raj Assembly condemns London terror attack

The Rajasthan Assembly today condemned the terror attack near the UK Parliament and paid homage to the victims.

As soon as the Question Hour got over, Speaker Kailash Meghwal said the attack which left four persons dead and nearly 40 injured took place yesterday when Parliament in London was functioning.

Meghwal said the house criticises the attack and passes condolence to the victims of the attack.

The house also paid homage to freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, Rajguru on their death anniversary.

They were hanged in Lahore jail on March 23, 1931.

After paying homage to the trio and the victims of the terror attack, a two-minute silence was observed.
 

Five people were killed and nearly 40 injured yesterday when a terrorist suspect mowed down pedestrians on a bridge and stabbed a police officer close to the British parliament complex in an incident inspired by "international terrorism".

Those dead included the assailant and the policeman he stabbed. The attacker was shot dead by Scotland Yard officers.
