After Rajasthan Beggars and Rajasthan Rehabilitation of Beggars and Indigents Bill, 2012, and Rajasthan Advocate Welfare Fund (Amendment) Bill, 2012, were passed, the House was adjourned sine die.

After the Question and the Zero Hour, Deputy Speaker Ramnarayan Meena took up the listed legislative business and the two bills were passed by voice vote following which the Assembly was adjourned sine die.

BJP legislators, led by Leader of Opposition Vasundhara Raje, boycotted the Assembly session in the morning and staged a one-hour dharna in the Assembly premises demanding a long session, division of vote on Business Advisory Committee among others.

After the dharna, they handed over a memorandum to Governor Margaret Alva seeking directions to the state government to extend the days of sitting.

"We have requested the Governor to direct the state government to extend the session so that important issues can be discussed and debated in the house. The government does not want debate on public interest issue so it is winding up the session," Raje told reporters after submitting the memorandum.

On the other hand, the Question Hour was also adjourned today for 15 minutes as all the questions listed in the business were called.

During the Question Hour in the house, opposition CPI (M) alleged that the law and order situation was deteriorating in the state but the government was not serious.

However, the government rejected the allegation.

The minister said that increase in population, tendency of registering cross FIRs, awareness among public for their rights were among other reasons responsible for increase in (registration of) crime.

He was replying to a question asked by CPI (M) MLA Amra Ram about law and order in Sikar.

Congress MLA Sona Ram also tried to corner the government over the crisis of water in Barmer and demanded a reply from Chief Minister.

He asked question about the exploration and production of crude oil in Barmer and revenue generation from it, and the government's plan to spend the revenue for local area development.

In reply, Industry Minister Rajendra Pareek assured the house that three per cent of the revenue will be spent for the development of local area through a specific formula.

The revenue from crude oil production was Rs.3418.93 crore during 2011-12 in the state, the minister added.
