A BJP MLA has threatened to stage a protest in front of a police station in Rajasthan's Sikar district against alleged religious conversion of two Hindu women and "atrocities" on Dalits.

Ramgarh MLA Gyan Dev Ahuja alleged that the women were abducted a few days ago and were forced to embrace Islam.

Surendra Kumar Bakolia, the SHO of the Ramgarh police station, outside which Ahuja would protest tomorrow, however, said a woman had eloped with a Muslim man last month and efforts are being made to ascertain her whereabouts.

"No other matter has come to my notice," he said.

Ahuja also said the police were not taking action on the complaints of "atrocities against Dalits".

"If no action is taken, I will hold a dharna in front of the SP office, then the IG office and later the DG office.

"If nothing happens, I will protest outside the chief minister's residence," he said.
