A BJP MLA today walked out of the Rajasthan Assembly when the public works minister was replying to an issue raised by him, inviting the wrath of Deputy Speaker Rao Rajendra Singh, who was in the Chair.

Niwai MLA Heera Lal raised the issue of damaged roads in his constituency during the Zero Hour and walked out of the House even as Public Works Minister Yunus Khan was replying to it.

The move invited sharp comments from the deputy speaker, who warned the members of the House against such behaviour.

Whatever the MLA had spoken on the issue was also expunged from the record on the direction of the chairperson. Singh took serious note of the MLA's behaviour and said it would not be tolerated.

In the meantime, the ruling party MLA returned in the House and said that he was suffering from cold and had gone to drink water.

Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria said the party would take necessary action if it was found that the MLA walked out without any valid reason.
