In the run up to assembly polls, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot today was on a spree of stone laying ceremonies and inaugurations as he flagged off several projects including a new building for police headquarters.

The PHQ building, being constructed at a budget of Rs 100 crore, has six floors out of which two have been readied.

Gehlot also laid the foundation stone for renovation of a inter-state bus terminal at Sindhi camp to be constructed at a cost of Rs 50 crore in two phases.

The CM also flagged off a fleet of eight new low-lying AC buses for tourists which will ply around the city.

Earlier this morning, Gehlot had flagged off the trial run of the Jaipur Metro from Mansarovar station here.
