Raj cooperative medical shops to remain open despite chemists'

Rajasthan government has issued directions to all the cooperative medical shops to remain open despite nationwide chemists' strike tomorrow.

Registrar of the Cooperative Societies R Venkateswaran said that the cooperative medical shops have been asked to remain open tomorrow to meet the requirement of medicines.

There are around 350 cooperative medical stores in the state, he said, adding, that directions to keep proper stock of medicines have also been issued.

The All India Organisation of Chemists & Druggists (AIOCD) has called a nationwide chemists' strike tomorrow demanding action from the Centre against "illegal" online sale of medicines.
