Raj govt employees stage pen down protest for demands

Rajasthan government employees today staged a pen down protest to press for their demands including the implementation of the recommendations of seventh pay commission from January 1, 2016.

A 48-hour agitation was yesterday launched at district headquarters by the representatives of Akhil Rajasthan Rajya Karmchari Sanyukt Sangharsh Samiti, which has called the protest. The agitation continued today also.

"The agitation is going on at the district headquarters where the office bearers of the samiti are demonstration to press for our seven demands," coordinator of the samiti Ayudan Singh Kavia said.

He said work was boycotted in form of pen down and it was observed in the state today against the government's apathy towards the employees.
 

Samiti member Tej Singh Rathore said the employees will observe a black day tomorrow to register their protest against the state government.

The BJP government of Rajasthan is completing four years in the office tomorrow.
