"The government made several significant announcements and introduced schemes and ensured their proper implementation and execution.
'Right to Hearing Act' and 'Rajasthan Special Courts act' are some of the major pro-people initiatives of the state government taken in 2012," Gehlot told PTI here.
"Rajasthan is the first state to introduce 'Right to Hearing Act' which ensures a time-bound hearing and disposal of complaints, under which 4611 complaints were received in a period of 4 months since its launch and out of them, 4156 have been disposed off," he said.
He said that during the last four years, several schemes and programmes having the common man at its core were introduced by the Congress government.
Under the free generic medicines schemes, over 400 essential drugs are being distributed free of cost in government hospitals across the state.
The scheme was launched in 2011 whereas the free generic veterinary drug scheme was also launched last year.

"After coming to power, I announced that power tariff for farmers will not be increased for five years. The decision helped farmers a lot. The government also purchased power on high prices to ensure that the farmers get adequate electricity during the time of crisis," he said.
The chief minister said that the government made 500 significant decisions during its tenure so far and the decisions have delivered good and exciting results.
Guaranteed delivery of public services act, special courts act, transparency act are the other initiatives taken to check corruption and ensure that people get proper services of the government, the CM said, adding, that schemes for social security, education, minority welfare were also received good response from people.
"In the infrastructure sector, Ratlam-Banswara-Dungarpur rail line project was started with the contribution of the state government whereas Jaipur Metro rail is another ambitious project taken up by the government," he added.
Gehlot said that the Opposition BJP and their leaders failed to highlight public interest issues.
"Leader of opposition remained invisible and did not highlight issues of public interest. It is the duty of the opposition to raise people's voice but in the state, the opposition could not do so," he said without naming Vasundhara Raje.
