Raj govt provides assistance to persons who returned from Iraq

Rajasthan government today provided assistance to four persons of the state, who were stranded in conflict-hit Iraq and safely arrived in the country last night.

"As per direction of Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, special arrangements were made for their stay in Delhi when they arrived there last night and later sent to their native places by a Rajasthan roadways bus," according to a statement here.

"They were provided the tickets and Rs 1000 in cash for the expenses on route," it said.

Harinarayan Balai (33) from Phulera (Jaipur district), Jairam Bairwa (37) and Mukesh Kumar Bairwa (28) from Dausa district and Hiru Ram (30) from Salasar village of Churu district returned from Al Ghadeer area of Iraq last night, it said.
 

"In case of Rajasthani people stranded in Iraq, the Chief Minister showed utmost sensitivity and was constantly in contact with External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj for their safe return," the statement said.
