Chief Secretary of Rajasthan government C K Mathew, during a meeting with the officials here yesterday, gave them directions to prepare an information, education and communication plan to make the people aware of the safe driving and road safety.
Mathew also directed the officials of the state departments of transport, public works, health and road transport corporation to carry out studies to ensure effective implementation of national road safety policy and road-safety related other programmes, according to a release here today.
It was informed in the meeting that the number of accidents occurred in the last two years was less than the previous years.
Transport Commissioner Deepak Upreti also apprised the chief secretary about the steps being taken for road safety in the state.
