A division bench comprising Justices Dinesh Maheshwari and N K Jain II, while hearing a petition filed on the miserable state of encroachment in the city on Thursday, said the anti-encroachment drive was not satisfactory and directed the Jodhpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) and traffic police to speed up.

The court also asked the CEO of JMC about the ripped roads of the city and took a serious objection on the lack of coordination among between various government departments.

After the authorities failed to satisfy the court on each query, the latter warned them to bring tangible change in a week otherwise strong action would be initiated against them.
