A junior engineer in the Public Health and Engineering Department (PHED) was today suspended after Rajasthan Chief Minister found an overhead water tank sans lid and "polluted" during her visit to Nagaur district.
Ramesh Kumar, who was posted as junior engineer at Pharod village in Nagaur district, was suspended today, the official said.
The suspension order issued by PHED has been signed by Water Resource Minister Kiran Maheshwari.

The Chief Minister had visited the village yesterday during her three-day visit to Nagaur district.
At the village, Vasundhara Raje found the water tank uncovered and polluted with dirt and other contaminants, the official said.
The overhead water tank was supposed to be cleaned by October 23, as per the routine, but was allegedly neglected by the local PHED employees led by Kumar, he said.
Minister Maheshwari said no slackness on potable and clean water availability will be tolerated.
