The Rajasthan Congress's women wing today accused minister Otaram Devasi of making derogatory remarks against a woman zila pramukh of his own party in a telephonic conversation.

Congress's women wing chief Rehana Rayaz told reporters the Gaupalan minister "insulted" the Sirohi zila pramukh and that the audio of the conversation had gone viral on social media.

The party's women wing demanded that the matter be examined by forensic experts.

When contacted, Devasi said it was a conspiracy against him and the audio clip was fake.

"The zila pramukh is like our daughter and I have no issues with her. The audio clip is fake. I have not said anything," the minister said.
