An officer working in the Sangaria municipality in Hanumangarh district of Rajasthan was today arrested by the anti-corruption bureau for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 5,000.
Sandeep Vishnoi, working as the executive officer at the municipality, was caught red-handed by the bureau officials.
According to the officials, the accused had asked money from the complainant for not initiating a probe into the latter's illegal construction activities.
A middleman in the case, Vinod Kumar, has also been arrested in the case, they said.
