As many as 1,060 people allegedly involved in various crimes including eve teasing, liquor smuggling, and gambling in different parts of the state were arrested in past one week, police said today.
Of these, 89 miscreants were arrested in cases of eve teasing, 314 in liquor smuggling and its sale, 571 in gambling and betting, and 86 people for carrying arms illegally, they said.
The cases were initiated against them under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, police said.
