Rajasthan police has posted its "achievements and good works" on its website to apprise people of the state about it following the Centre's directive in this regard.
The Union Ministry of Home Affairs had recently issued orders to all the states and UTs following which the Rajasthan police provided the information on the website, Additional Director General, State Crime Records Bureau, Kapil Garg said today.
The achievements have been listed under ten categories - arrest of gangsters, help to senior citizens and others, control on communal riots, protection of life in natural calamity, recovery of missing children and stolen things, solving sensational cases among others, he said.
The information has been provided at district and range level. The visitors would be able to post comments about any of the achievements on the website, Garg said.
The state police have so far uploaded information about 390 works, the ADG said.
