Rajasthan continued to sizzle under the blistering heat even as Vanasthali town in Tonk district received very light rain today.
The mercury touched 45.8 degrees Celsius in Kota, making it the hottest place in the state.
While, Barmer, Bikaner and Churu recorded maximum temperature of 44.7 degrees Celsius, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Jaipur and Ajmer recorded maximum of 44.5, 44.2, 44.1 and 43 degrees Celsius respectively, according to Met department here.

No respite from the blistering heat was in sight as the weather conditions would remain the same during next 24 hours, a forecast said.

Intense heat conditions have affected normal life in
western Rajasthan, including Jaisalmer and nearby areas.
BSF is providing protection wear to the jawans who patrol along the Indo-Pak border.
"Arrangements for the safety of jawans been made in the desert area to protect them from heat stroke," a BSF official said.
