Heat wave conditions intensified in desert areas of Rajasthan with Barmer recording the highest temperature of 47.5 degrees Celsius, followed by Jaisalmer where the mercury touched 47 degrees.
Scorching heat continued to affect normal life in other parts of the state. Day temperatures in Kota, Sriganganagar, Vanasthali, Chittorgarh, Dabok, Jaipur and Ajmer was 46.3, 46, 45.6, 44.5, 44.3, 44 and 43.7 degrees Celsius respectively, according to Met department.
Heat wave conditions in western parts of the state will continue for the next 24 hours, a MeT forecast said.
