The family of Nanhe Yadav, the slain pradhan of Balipur village, has accused Kunda MLA Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya and his aides of threatening them.

"The family is getting threats from Raja Bhaiya and his men warning against speaking about the murder case," Sudhir, brother of the slain village head, said.

On March 2, Nanhe Yadav, his brother Suresh and DSP Zia-ul-Haq were killed in Balipur village with the slain police officer's widow alleging that Raja Bhaiya had a hand in her husband's killing.

Raja Bhaiya, who was the food and civil supplies minister in the Akhilesh Yadav government, had to resign from the state cabinet in light of the allegation.

The case was handed over to CBI on the demand of Haq's widow Parveen Azad.

Meanwhile, security has been beefed up in Balipur since last night. Officials described the step as a precautionary measure in view of Holi.
