"Raja is scheduled to reach here at 2 PM and go straight to Gobindpur village in Jagtsinghpur district. He will spend the night there," CPI state secretary Dibakar Nayak told PTI.

Stating that Raja would visit the proposed Posco plant site villages for the second time, Nayak said he and other Left party MPs had decided to raise Posco issue in the ensuing session of Parliament.

Party veteran A B Bardhan has visited the Posco area in the past, while local CPI MP Bibhu Tarai also staged a dharna at the proposed plant site village opposing the alleged forceful land acquisition.

Besides, Nayak said a delegation of MPs belonging to CPI, CPI(M), Forward Bloc, RSP and others were planning to draw attention of President Pranab Mukherjee.

"Undertaking forceful land acquisition process for Posco aimed at negating the forthcoming amendment of 1894 Land Acquisition Act. The government is in a hurry to complete land acquisition before the Bill is passed," Nayak said.

CPI and other like minded parties would oppose the "illegal" land acquisition activities, he said.

Meanwhile, all non-BJD parties have been opposing the manner in which the state government has undertaken land acquisition process for Posco company.

Besides Congress and BJP, six parties like CPI, CPI(M), Forward Block, RJD and Samajwadi Party have also joined hands to oppose the project.
