An under-construction overhead water tank collapsed on the premises of a textile factory in Balotara town today, killing three labourers and injuring as many others, police said.
About 12 labourers were engaged in the construction of the water tank at the factory in the RIICO industrial area, police said.
The structure collapsed and six labourers got buried under the debris. They were pulled out and rushed to a hospital, where three of them were declared brought dead.

The three others were out of danger, SHO Balotara police station Bhanwarlal Sirvi said.
The deceased were identified as Bhakraram Meghwal, Shankarlal Sansi and Dhanraj Sansi, all aged between 25 and 30.
No FIR has been registered in the matter yet. Appropriate action will be taken if family members of the deceased approached police, Sirvi said.
