Rajasthan Police has withdrawn the security escort provide to BJP MLA Ghanshyam Tiwari since last two years after authorities conducted a review in which it was felt that the services were not needed now.

Additional Director General of Police (Intelligence) U R Sahu issued an order to this effect on Monday informing all the Range IGs, District SPs, Jaipur and Jodhpur Police Commissioners, and Deputy Commissioners.

"The decision was taken after IG (Security) conducted a review in which it was felt that the escort was not necessary for him now," Sahu said today.

Tiwari, the BJP MLA from Sanganer, was availing police escort services while traveling by road since May 2013. The police team included three constables and an ASI rank officer.
