Rajasthan CM, Assembly speaker condole death of Ramesh Agrawal

Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and Speaker of state assembly Kailash Meghwal today condoled the death of Dainik Bhaskar group chairman Ramesh Chandra Agrawal.

In her condolence message, Raje said Agrawal was a visionary man with positive thoughts who did positive and meaningful journalism in the country.

She said his death was a loss to the world of journalism.

Speaker Kailash Meghwal said Agrawal was associated with social works apart from journalism and his death was a "loss".

Former chief minister Ashok Gehlot said he was deeply saddened by the passing away of Agrawal.

Deputy Speaker Rao Rajendra Singh, government chief whip Kalulal Gurjar also condoled Agrawal's death.
 

Ramesh Chandra Agrawal, Chairman of the country's leading publication house Dainik Bhaskar Group, today died following a heart attack upon his arrival at Ahmedabad airport.

He was 73.

According to Dainik Bhaskar's website, under Agrawal's leadership, the group succeeded in publishing 62 editions from 14 states and is the world's fourth largest newspaper in terms of circulation.
