Senior Rajasthan Congress leader Ramnarayan Meena today said former Union Minister Natwar Singh's criticism of Sonia Gandhi in his new book is aimed at boosting the prospects of his son in BJP.

"The remarks in 'One Life is not Enough' about Gandhi is solely aimed at raising his MLA son Jagat Singh's position in BJP," said Meena, former Deputy Speaker in state Assembly.

The language Singh has used for Sonia in his book clearly hints at "his individual ambition", Meena said.

"Making such statements about Sonia after meeting Narendra Modi brings Singh into the circle of doubts," the Congress leader said, adding only BJP is giving weight to Singh's book and his remarks.

Meena expressed confidence in Sonia Gandhi's leadership, saying Congress will revive to its full strength only under her leadership and "it is good that such controversies and issues are out before the reconstruction process of the party begins.
