The Rajasthan government has constituted export promotion and coordination councils to address bottlenecks and boost shipments from the state.
The Industries Department on Friday issued a notification for the formation of the Rajasthan Export Promotion Coordination Council.
It will coordinate between various industrial organisations, exporters and respective departments of the state government to remove the bottlenecks in exports.
In addition, a notification has also been issued to constitute the Rajasthan Export Promotion Council as a representative body of exporters, export-related persons, companies, institutions and industrial organisations.
With the formation of these two councils, the export of various commodities, handicrafts, gems, jewelery and agricultural products from Rajasthan and tourism business will get new momentum.
According to an official statement, the state chief secretary will head the 19-member Export Promotion Coordination Council.
