The Rajasthan government today announced a 2 per cent hike in dearness allowance and relief for the state's employees and pensioners, respectively.
The increase of dearness allowance (DA) to employees and dearness relief to pensioners will come into effect from January 1, 2018, he said.
This is expected to benefit around 8 lakh employees and 3.5 lakh pensioners, an official said.
Other state employees, including those of panchayat samitis, and other pensioners will benefit from the increase, the official.
The state government will have an additional financial burden of about Rs 957 crore in this fiscal.
