Rajasthan govt, Army sign MoU for improving infrastructure

The Rajasthan government and the Indian Army today signed an MoU for improving infrastructure for the latter's posts in areas on the Indo-Pak border, an official said.

As per the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the Army will be able to use an airstrip in the Lalgarh-Jatan area in Sri Ganganagar district for 10 years.

The Army can also do temporary construction there as per their requirement, Principal Secretary of the State Civil Aviation Department, Pawan Goyal said.

The state government has also sanctioned funds for the airstrip which is near the Indo-Pak border, he said.

The MoU was signed between the State Civil Aviation Department and the Army.
