Rajasthan government today inked 3 key partnership agreements with Singapore firms to promote investments in the state with Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje saying India cannot achieve its goals without including private sectors and FDI in the development process.
"I wish to promote engagement with many companies in Singapore to invest in Rajasthan. We are also exploring the sharing of best practices with Singapore state institutions," Raje said while announcing the three agreements signed in the field of urban development, water management and tourism at a business forum here.
Two partnership agreements were signed by Rajasthan's Bureau of Investment Promotion (BIP) with Singapore Cooperation Enterprise (SCE) and water company Hyflux while a third pact was signed with ITE Education Services (ITEES).

Hyflux will work with the state government to explore the possibilities of collaborating in water treatment and recycling of waste water, and setting up of desalination and defloridisation plants.
ITEES will study and recommend upgradation of the Industrial Training Institute at Udaipur which aims to turn it into a Centre of Excellence specialising in tourism skill development.
"In Rajasthan, we are putting in place the policy environment that allows private enterprises to emerge and leads to sustainable growth in economy. There is a huge potential for Singapore investment in the state," said Raje.
She stressed that India has realised that it cannot achieve its goals without the participation of private sector and foreign direct investment.
"In these changing times, we in India realise that we cannot achieve our goals without including the private sector and FDI in our development process.
"I have come to Singapore for this business interaction to present opportunities in Rajasthan," said Raje who had worn a red-and-white saree as part of a goodwill gesture of close diplomatic relationship between both the countries.
