Rajasthan minister down with swine flu

Rajasthan Food and Civil Supply Minister Hem Singh Bhadana has tested positive for swine flu.

The minister is recuperating at his Civil Line residence here after he moved from his Alwar constituency to the state capital yesterday, his personal assistant said.

His swab sample was sent from Alwar on Sunday and Chief Medical and Health Officer H R Meena confirmed that he was infected with H1N1 virus.

A leave application was also approved in the state Assembly by voice vote when Speaker Kailash Meghwal asked the members whether the minister be granted leave for the remaining days of sittings on sickness ground.
 

Till yesterday, 343 people have succumbed to swine flu in parts of Rajasthan since January one this year.
