Rajasthan government today said that the International Yoga Day will be observed in over 10,000 places throughout the state on June 21 with lakhs of people including employees of the Centre and state government taking part.
Besides cities, yoga would also be performed in 9,900 gram panchayats in which all elected representatives, NGOs and government employees would take part, Medical and Health Minister R S Rathore told a press conference here.
The main event would be organised at the Sawai Man Singh stadium from 6:40 to 7:40 am in which 35,000 people including Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje would take part, he said, adding the session would be guided by chief instructor Kulbhushan Bairathi of Patanjali Yogpeeth.

About 1.5 lakh books on Yoga postures and its health benefit would be distributed on this day, the minister said.
Rathore added that the state government is considering to frame a separate policy on Yoga and set up some institutes for the exercise in Rajasthan.
