Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today announced that five selected Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) from the state will be developed as 'Centre of Excellence in Art and Craft trade'.
Five selected ITIs would be developed into 'Centre of Excellence in Art and Craft trade' where skill training in the field of fabric, stone, leather, wood and metal art would be imparted, she said at a conference.
The assistance to run these centres would be taken from industries.

The Chief Minister emphasized that artisans should adopt new technologies and prepare their products as per the market demand so that they can be consumed in the market.
She also laid emphasis on developing a support system to promote and encourage the artisans.
State Industry minister Gajendra Singh, Chief Secretary C S Rajan and other officials were also present in the conference.
