Rajasthan tribes welfare board chairman dies in road accident

The chairman of denotified tribes, nomadic and semi-nomadic welfare board of Rajasthan has been killed and three others were injured when their car overturned in Churu district, police said today.

The incident took place last night when the victims were on their way to Tara nagar in Churu and their car overturned while trying to save a Nilgai (blue bull).

"66-year-old Jagmal Singh Sansi succumbed to injuries, while his son Chandrashekhar, driver Shivpal and gunman Begraj were injured in the incident. The injured are being treated," a police official said.

Sansi was appointed as the chairman of the board in December last year.
