Rajasthan would examine SC direction on tiger reserves

"We will examine and follow the Supreme Court directions. We have Ranthambhore national park in Sawaimadhopur and Sariska in Alwar district. Wildlife lovers visit these areas and also help the authorities in different manner," Kak told PTI.

Wildlife is a prime attraction for the tourism sector in the state, which is one of the main industries here and the order is likely to impact the industry, Kak said.

"Now we will examine and see that how we can boost the tourism industry by involving and promoting other activities like rural tourism and other," she said.

The Supreme Court's directions would be followed in a proper manner, she added.

 

The Supreme Court today directed that there shall be no tourism activity in any of the core zones of tiger reserves across the country.
