Raje asks people, officers to work for water conservation

Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today asked the people, public and officers in the state to work for water conservation on the lines of Maharashtra model.

Public participation was needed to make any drive successful and public representatives and officers should seek active support of people for water conservation drive, like Maharashtra, Raje said, while addressing a workshop on water and soil conservation here.

Officers from Maharashtra showed the presentation on water conservation which was appreciated by the chief minister who showed interest and said the government of Rajasthan would also take result oriented steps for water conservation, a release said.
 

Senior officers from Rajasthan and Maharashtra were present on the occasion.
