Raje flags off 'Rajasthani language rath yatra'

Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje here today flagged off a "Rajasthani Rath Yatra", an initiative demanding that the language be included in the sixth schedule of the constitution and accorded an official status.

Rajasthani Language Rath which began its journey from Mumbai yesterday arrived at the chief minister's residence here where Raje welcomed the participants, received a memorandum of their demand and flagged off the van for onward journey to Delhi, an official spokesman said.

Yatra convenor Vijay Kumar Jain, Rajasthani film actor Arvind Kumar among others were moving with the Rath to Delhi where they sould submit a memorandum to the BJP MPs of Rajasthan tomorrow.
 

They are demanding that Rajasthani langauge be included in the sixth schedule of the constitution.
