Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot today alleged BJP was misleading people with false statistics and creating confusion in the state.

"The BJP state president is not relishing the state's all-round development achieved in the five years of Congress rule and is creating confusion by misleading people with false statistics," Gehlot told a gathering after inaugurating a Cluster Drinking Water Project here.

Even a panel headed by RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan has put Rajasthan in a better position than Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh, he said.

"We are happy that Rajasthan is no more among the country's backward states," the Chief Minister claimed.

With ruling Congress government's achievements and plans, people were now aware of former BJP state president's statements and works, Gehlot said.

Yesterday, state BJP chief and former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje had remarked that Gehlot was a hero of announcements and zero in achievements.

He (Gehlot) had announced the opening of 34 new colleges, but none had a building, she had alleged.

Speaking on the occasion, PCC president Dr Chandrabhan said most BJP leaders were agents of capitalists.
